Our first 911 Cab feature. For those of you that may not follow us over on the “Gram”, we ran a poll a while back gauging interest on featuring Cabriolet’s. The majority was yes, you like the top down. That confirmed a lot of what I was seeing in the DM’s (lots of cab requests). The people have spoken.

What we have here is what we consider a fine specimen, and the type of example we like to find for our followers. By that we mean, it’s not Arctic/black with 17″ Twists found all over BringATrailer and Pcarmarket. An ultra rare not really ever seen in Carrera white with Metropol Blue top. How good does this thing look?

2003 was the 2nd year for the updated/facelifted 996. The narrowbody base Carrera had underbody fittings for improved aerodynamics, front and rear bumpers were restyled, but most importantly Porsche gave the Carrera the Turbo’s updated headlights with standard bi-Xenon lamps (no more Boxster look!).

The facelifted Carrera’s also got new engines. The original 3.4L M96/02 were all replaced by a single 3.6L M96/03 type producing 320 HP. These new engines also came with a new VariocamPlus system and a new DME that mimics the Turbos minus the boost control. Unfortunately, the M96/03 still suffers from the same IMS issues as the M96/02. Be sure to get that replaced.

The interior is finished in “Metropol Blue” standard leather and power seats. Not that many options on this car (we like them that way). Let’s be honest, most of you aren’t tracking these things, and don’t need the “extra rigidity brO”. Why not enjoy #droptopszn in style? Don’t forget that PPI! Make this 996 Cab your #firstflatsix
