This 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera (VIN WP0AA29911S623261) has a claimed 6,207 miles and is finished in Seal Gray Metallic. The seller states, “The car has never been in an accident and the paint is original. The car runs great and everything works”. No IMS/RMS work done with this one. Find this one offered here on Ebay in Henderson, Nevada with bidding at $17K with 5 days left.
We here at Firstflatsix have been into 996’s for a while. We follow the market. And this indeed is probably the lowest mileage Carrera we have come across. A 2004, 7K-Mile example did sell on Bringatrailer a few weeks ago for $30K + Fees. That car also on its original IMS. Judging by recreated Monroney sticker we can see this was a pretty lightly optioned Carrera.
We don’t know anyone that isn’t a fan of Seal Gray, but those polished “Turbo look” wheels are another story. For the “rear wiper” lovers out there, you’re in luck, this one has the rear wiper! To round out the exterior, the seller does state that there is a “ding” on the decklid.
The 2001 Carrera came a 300HP 3.4L flat-six and is fitted with “E-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carreras save for the ’99 Coupes.
The interior is finished in Graphite Grey Pearl leather (no full leather on this one) and the 3-Spoke leather steering wheel. There seller didn’t include pics of the seat bolsters but from what we do see, this does look like a 7K mile interior. The car was also optioned with the “Technic Package” which included Litronic lighting (Xenon), in-dash CD and headlight washers.
Base C2, 300 HP, 6speed, RWD and ONLY 6K miles. If you’re looking for a “new old” 911, this is your car. If you’re looking for an investment grade vehicle, this may be a winner as well. Get that IMS work done and enjoy those miles of smiles, haters be damned. The perfect firstflatsix.
