This 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera has a claimed 65,176 miles and is finished in Arctic Silver over standard Black leather. This is one of those classic examples of a car that doesn’t look exciting unless you run the build sheet. A mid 60K mile Arctic/Black 996.2 for a low $20’s ask isn’t really exciting…until you run the build-sheet. The exterior appears innocent enough, with the only options being the 18″ Carrera Lightweights with colored crests.
But running that build sheet reveals a plethora of really cool enthusiast spec options. Among those being, the M030 Sport Suspension, standard leather Sport Seats with Crests, Guards Red Seatbelts, and the P71 Design Package which includes codes X71 (aluminum instrument finish), X97 (shift knob in alum/leather), X70 (door entry panels in stainless steel with logo) and XLF (Porsche sports exhaust system also known as PSE).
The CarFax is showing an accident a few years ago, but again, 60K mile 996’s aren’t going to be collectible. So if you can personally inspect this and the paintwork doesn’t appear bad, then by all means give this a look because specs like this aren’t around often. Price may be a TAD high considering it doesn’t have any IMS/RMS work done. Then again, this isn’t simply a silver/black base spec so maybe it is worth the slight premium. Don’t forget that PPI!
