This 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera (VIN WP0AA2994YS622678) has a claimed 49,879 miles and is finished in what appears to be “Ocean Blue”. The seller states, “One owner, All scheduled maintenance, Always garaged, Excellent condition”. No word on any IMS/RMS work. Find this one offered here on Autotrader in Aliso Viejo, CA for $22,500.
The detail job done on this car looks fantastic. Pretty good presentation here from the seller. Build Sheet unavailable for this one, so just have to go with what we see, which is no ambers, 18″ Turbo Look wheels and the GT3 Aero. We can’t tell if this is factory or aftermarket, so check the option code sticker. Please note, the car is missing the Aero “Taco Wing” so our guess is that it was not Factory as the “Factory” does not recommend the front aero without the rear spoiler and vice versa.
The 2000 Carrera came with a 300HP 3.4L flat-six and RWD. No factory LSD (bummer) as it was only offered on ’99 Carrera coupes. The 4 hp increase (296 to 300) from 1999 to 2000 Carrera’s was due to the “e-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carreras save for the ’99 Coupes. “E-Gas” replaced the conventional mechanical cable throttles found in every prior 911 to date (bummer). No word on any IMS/RMS work (about a $3K bill from my local indy). Make sure you ask the seller for the invoice/receipts if he claims to have had it done.
The interior is finished in Black full leather (dash and door cards). No supple leather (yay!). A 3-spoke steering wheel finishes out the interior.
Narrowbody, 300 HP, 6speed, RWD and NOT silver! This looks to be a buy provided everything we mentioned above checks out. Get that PPI done and enjoy this Ocean Blue beauty in a sea of silver and black 996’s. The perfect firstflatsix.
This body is the I Ching, IMO. Not factory without the taco, true, but another option would be a nice ducktail. Also, not silver.
Agree, no Taco means not factory as Porsche does not recommend installation of one without the other.
