This 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet has a claimed 38,015 miles and is finished in love it or hate it Speed Yellow over Black leather. No additional information provided by the selling dealer, and no info regarding the IMS/RMS. Find this one offered here in Charlotte, NC for $27,995.
If you haven’t been following us for a while you may not be aware that we have a thing for Speed Yellow 996’s. So much so, that we’re featuring a drop top (which we rarely do). Since the VIN isn’t showing up on any vindecoders and we don’t have a pic for the option sticker we’ll have to make do with what we see from the dealers pics. On the exterior, the car appears to be optioned with the available Aero package (including rear lips), Carrera Spoiler (XGA), matching hardtop, 18″ 996.2 Carrera II wheels and what appears to be a lowered suspension. Please note the color matched rear bumperettes, which from the factory came black so this may indicate rear paint work (i.e accident).
The interior is finished in “Black” standard leather heated with color matched sport seats. We also spy deviated stitching, yellow seatbelts, color matched speedo and the optional carbon fiber package. One thing to note, the back seats are sporting draped leather, while the fronts are not, which could indicate that front or back are not original to the car.

Eric at http://www.bumperplugs.com often packages the front bumperplugs (visible in the pics) with the PTS rear bumperettes at discount, so I wouldn’t attribute those items to bodywork; especially with the flawless CARFAX. Those PTS bumperettes simply bolt on in less than five seconds. I did this on a 1999 once, before the black took on the “vintage” flavor of today.
Ben, we’re aware its a mod a lot of owners like to make to the 996.1 (we prefer the black :)). Just something for prospective owners to be on the lookout for, thats all.
