9/5/18 Update: Gone Fast.
This 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (VIN NOT PROVIDED) has a claimed 99,176 miles on the clock and is finished in Black on Black. No indication of any IMS/RMS work. Find this one offered here on Cars.com in California for $7,995.
If you are looking to get in on a 911, with a limited capital outlay, this may be your car. The seller doesn’t list the VIN, so we’re just gonna list what we can spy from the 5 pics. 18″ Sport Design wheels (our favorite), Litronic headlights, flared rocker panels, stainless steel exhaust tips and wait for it….a REAR WIPER, round out the exterior.
This 2000 Carrera 4 came with a 300HP 3.4L flat-six and AWD with Porsche Stability Management. The AWD system is permanent and set at minimum 95% to the rear and 5% to the fronts. With rear wheels spinning, the fronts could get up to 40% of the power. This 3.4L is also fitted with “e-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carreras save for the ’99 Coupes.
We spy some Black Full Leather interior (dash and door cards) and heated seats. Unfortunately, not much else to go on without a VIN and limited pics. But being that 996’s appear to be on the rise (look at what this 120K mile original IMS beauty did on BaT) we don’t think you should run away from this car exactly. Run a Carfax and get a PPI, be the owner of a 911 for less than $10K. Sounds good to us.
Make this classic Carrera 4 your firstflatsix.
