What an amazing find here, a dot one finished in the ultra rare Zanzibar Red. You know we love the wacky color option’d 996’s here at firstflatsix and this car doesn’t disappoint. The build sheet is unfortunately not available so we’ll do our best to decipher the options via the pics the seller provides.
The 2001 Carrera 4 came with a 300HP 3.4L flat-six and is fitted with “E-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carreras save for the ’99 Coupes. Remember, the AWD system is permanent and set at minimum 95% to the rear and 5% to the fronts. With rear wheels spinning, the fronts could get up to 40% of the power. The seller identifies a lot of recent work completed. On the exterior we spy, Litronic headlamps, smoked turn signals, stainless steel tips, aftermarket wheels and a rear wiper for all you rear wiper lovers.
The interior appears to be finished in Black partial leather, a 3-spoke wheel and painted center console. Not much else to report.
Base Carrera, 300 HP, 6speed, RWD, rare Zanzibar Red and only 69K miles. If you’re looking for a wacky not really ever seen entry into 911 ownership, this is your car. Ask for a pic of the option code sticker and be sure to get that PPI. Enjoy those miles of smiles, haters be damned. The perfect firstflatsix.
