The Black (L041) paint shows well commensurate with the mileage. The car is fitted with Michelin Radial X (date codes R/2015,2016 F/2017) on optional stock 18″ BBS SportClassic II wheels mounted over what appear to be the stock cross drilled rotors and painted black Porsche calipers. The suspension was refreshed in 2016 with Bilstein B6 shocks/struts and springs. Rounding out the exterior are stainless steel turbo tail pipes, Litronic headlamps and Aerokit II sideskirts.
The interior is covered in Black standard leather with heated comfort seats, aluminum look center console, aluminum instrument dials and Bose sound. The stock head unit has been replaced with a newer Kenwood unit with integrated bluetooth. The seller states,
“The car is in tremendous shape both mechanically and cosmetically and shows as though it has half the miles. There is a dime-sized ding on the drivers quarter panel and one of the wheel caps (driver’s rear) is mismatched (although all four point toward the air valves!). The interior is mint and everything functions as it should”.
This 2003 Carrera came stock with a M96 3.6 liter flat-six rated at 315Hp. The car comes with meticulous laminated service records over its history. The most recent service being the Porsche Warrington service for retail prep. As noted above the clutch and factory-fitted IMS bearing was replaced with an LN replacement bearing in 2013. Other recent service includes plugs, coils, and a brake fluid flush in June 2019. Records for this service are included with the service history of the car.

As to why the seller is selling so quickly, he purchased the car locally to daily drive to work to compliment his 996 Turbo weekend cruiser. Covid made him a work from home employee, so the car is no longer needed.
Normally I wouldn’t post something like this, but I happened onto the interview between FFS owner Greg and Michael Bath’s podcast conversation. Nice job Greg! That led me to return and drop a message here some 6 months or so later. I purchased this car when it was first posted on the First Flat Six site. Timing was right as I had just sold a previous Porsche and was looking for a well maintained 996. This car has 67k miles, it presents in almost concours condition. You can tell the previous owners took a lot of pride in ownership. The person I purchased it from was wonderful to work with supported performance of a PPI, completion of owner documentation and loading it up for delivery. Thanks to FFS I have a great example of a 2003 996.
Joe, thank you for the kind words!
