The Black (L741) paint shows well commensurate with the mileage. For those of you wondering what the P06 option is, it is what Porsche called the “GT Pack” and included the Sport Chassis (m030), Aerokit (XAA) and Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips (X54). Readers should note, the P06 option includes the “rear aero slats” for the aero package. The car is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 (date codes R/4919, F/2418/2618) on optional 18″ BBS Sport Designs mounted over what appear to be the stock cross drilled rotors and painted black Porsche calipers. Rounding out the exterior are Litronic headlamps with washers.
The interior is covered in Black standard leather with comfort seats, leather 3 spoke steering wheel and an on-board computer. The stock head unit has been replaced with a new Continental unit. The seller states,
“This car is the perfect driver. Mechanically the car is in great shape, and I would not hesitate to take it anywhere. The body shows well for its age, but there are a few flaws with the paint; there is a roughly a 3 inch scratch on the passenger door above the door handle and a small ding on the back bumper from the previous owner. All four wheels have some pitting or issues with finish on the polished lips. On the interior, there is minor wear on the center console, the lid hinge needs repair, the rear drivers speaker grill is broken and the sunroof button is loose. The factory aero kit turns a lot of heads and gives it a modern look. People are shocked when they find out the car is almost 20 years old!”.
This 2001 Carrera came stock with an M96 3.4 liter flat-six rated at 300Hp and is fitted with “E-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carreras save for the ’99 Coupes. In lieu of the Limited Slip Differential (LSD) which was only available with the 1999 C2’s (and 40th Anniversary cars) this 996 is equipped with Porsche Stability Management. To learn more about PSM, follow the link here.
The car comes with full documented service records over its history. The clutch and RMS were replaced at 53K miles and the most recent service(s) being a coolant flush, poly urethane engine mounts, oil service and new drive belt installed last year. As noted above the car retains its original IMS. A BlackStone Analysis Report from February of 2020 is included in the gallery. Full 25 page documented service history from Porsche Minneapolis available, please email for that.
